**Role Description**:

- Develop an understanding of the EMEA risks in order to determine the emerging information security requirements.
- Provide advisory and oversight for changes within their environment related to security, leveraging the regional information security consultants and global operational response teams as needed.
- Work in collaboration with the Risk teams supporting them in their activities and helping them continue to develop processes and solutions.
- Work with the global BISO organisation to ensure that GIS requirements and initiatives are communicated, discussed and tracked in an effective, consistent and timely way.
- Establish and maintain a network of senior stakeholders and partners.
- Conduct routine liaison and coordination across the risk partners and technology groups.
- Coordinate and remediate ad hoc GIS issues and assisting partners to reach a resolution in line with GIS baselines and standards
- Maintains a working knowledge of the broad cyber threat and geopolitical landscape to include an up-to-date understanding of the threats posed to the Bank. Assists with identifying potential indicators or warnings of a changing threat environment.
- Responds to cyber incidents affecting the Bank as needed and to include developing comprehensive intelligence products on limited timelines.
- Present intelligence reports to internal customers, lines of business, senior leadership and others as needed.
- Communicate complex topics effectively at all management levels of the organizations and educate and advise internal business and technical leaders regarding cyber threats and possible security solutions.
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational and cross-functional communication skills to work closely with other elements of GIS and elsewhere to integrate analysis from across the Enterprise.
**The Team**:
The Information Security Officer will be a functional member of the Country Information Security Officer team, reporting into the GIS EMEA Regional COO.

This role will develop a strong understanding of the business to have specialised information security risk-based discussions.

**Core Skills**:

- Experience within a technology and/or financial organisation at a senior level with good knowledge of Application Security controls and risks.
- Experience within an information security technology operational, engineering or consulting team with good knowledge of the security controls and processes required within systems and networks.
- Experience of formal security risk assessment methodologies and vulnerability management.
- SInterpersonal skills to be able to communicate, influence and negotiate with stakeholders across varying levels of seniority.
- Ability to initiate own work priorities and manage a portfolio independently.
- Good communicator able to deliver difficult messages and resolve issues with stakeholders.
- Show ability to work as part of integral team in EMEA GIS.
- Excellent oral and written briefing skills with the ability to produce and present management progress and status reports.
