There are 15.75 hours available in total per week, (all double handed support), Time of calls will be 9.30am for 45 min, 1.30pm, 5pm and 9.00pm all for 30 min

**Responsible to**: You will be directly responsible to your employer.

**Main Tasks**:
Assist with personal care, such as daily foot wash, bathing, washing hair etc, all to be conducted with utmost regard to the lady’s dignity.

Continence care, including changing incontinence pads, and emptying the incontinence receptacle, when necessary, always ensuring the lady’s comfort and dignity.

Prepare and serve lunch and evening meal.

Changing and laundering bed linen; machine wash used bed linen and nightwear, hang to dry on rails and fold and put away when dry.

Load and empty dishwasher, leaving all working areas clean and tidy.

Vacuum lounge and hall area

Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed.

Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.

**Person Specification**:
Be able to work well as part of a small team, providing double-handed care

Establish a professional standard of care which should be always maintained.

Be trustworthy, kind, and respectful to all members of the household including the family pets, two cats

Respect and safeguard the goods and property of the family.

Respect the privacy of the family and always uphold confidentiality.

Be punctual, reliable, and flexible, as the work shifts and patterns may vary, with a view to possibly undertaking overtime.

Be able to travel to the rural location of the work

Be enthusiastic and open to new experiences.

Bear in mind that the role is one of empowerment for the service user; her dignity, needs and comfort must be always considered.

A Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and two satisfactory references are conditional for the post. This is a free and confidential process.
