Job Title: Internship/Trainee Project Management

**The Organisation**:
CMT Design and Construction Ltd is an expanding privately owned design and build construction company based in Central London that offers its employees a congenial working environment, growth opportunities and a platform for personal and professional development. CMT has evolved over a few decades and is a proud third generation company in the construction sector which has grown dynamically with a pioneering strategic vision incorporated alongside traditional values. CMT has an existing design, construction and project management team that have the knowledge, skills, and experience to provide Clients with a complete one-stop solution for all their construction and development needs. We are currently working with clients and developers with current projects mainly in the residential. commercial and hotel sectors. We also deliver new developments in partnership with our sister company KNT Development.

**Responsibilities**:
Whilst working under supervision,
- Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and milestones achieved.
- Collaborate with contractors’ team, subcontractors, and stakeholders to monitor project progress and identify areas that require attention.
- Assist in coordinating and communicating with suppliers, subcontractors, and other project team members.
- Support the procurement process by assisting in obtaining material and subcontract quotes, conducting subcontractor evaluations and preparing purchase orders and contracts.
- Assist in managing project documentation, including contracts, permits, and other relevant records.
- Learn to perform risk assessments and assist in implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to gain practical knowledge of construction processes and quality control.
- Assist in preparing project status reports and presentations.

**Requirements**:

- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing project requirements.

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

**Reports to**: Construction Director

**Job Type**: Internship
Contract length: 3 months
