An exciting opportunity to join Women’s and Children’s Services as a Clinical Trials Assistant, working within Neurology. The role will support the development of research and trials activity through the Neurology team working with other Divisions and organisations to facilitate this activity.

Clinical Trials Assistant centered on Neurology research and trials within paediatrics. Working closely with the CRF and CRN on trials and research including but not limited to the neuromuscular field. This role has been created to support the service in expanding its research and trials portfolio as the service continues to grow and develop at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

You will be responsible for supporting ongoing research studies and new studies that commence during the lifetime of the role. You will support the Principal Investigator (PI) and the wider team including research nurses with the delivery of research and trials. Including facilitating where appropriate assessment activity associated with research studies supported by the PI and or research nurse. You will be integral to organising research studies. Identifying and recruiting appropriate individuals who are eligible to participate in studies and recording and submitting appropriate data associated with the research studies in question. You will join a small team of highly motivated researchers who are driven to deliver the best quality research whilst developing a truly patient-orientated clinical research environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and to help to embed research into the day to day activities of the department.
