Our client a well-established supplier of accessories, swimwear, nightwear, etc to a diverse retail customer base now has an excellent opportunity for a Garment Technologist to join their team - on a 15-month contract to cover maternity leave.

**Duties include**:

- Working on multiple products across; Swimwear, Nightwear, Garments, Footwear, Accessories involving Women’s, men’s and Children’s
- Managing and improving fit to meet brand standards.
- Managing junior team members to ensure the fit comments are clear, concise & ensure the relationship between QC team & suppliers is upheld.
- Arranging production, pre-production QC checks and grading garments.
- Measuring sealing samples comprising of first fits, second fits, pre-production, shipment samples (as required) in line with critical path deadlines
- Attending and leading fit sessions, taking accurate notes and photos to aid in adding comments to the workbooks for each style
- Reviewing and giving approval of care labels.
- Ensure that the garments are being produced to the required quality standard.
- Promoting quality and performance improvement.
- Discuss comments & issues with suppliers.
- Liaise directly with the buyers, merchandisers & directors to relay any technical &/or quality issues and discuss resolutions.
- Control testing requirements and ensure they are implemented to meet delivery. Reviewing and approving Test reports
- Previous experience essential in a technologist role
- Must have knowledge of pattern cutting, grading and construction
- Knowledge of garment & fabric testing is advantageous
- Must have attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Strong communication skills
- Must be fully computer literate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
