As a Treasury Operations Assistant you will work within the team to manage the global bank account structure and support the Treasury Operations team in cash management activities.

you will:
**Bank account management**
- The Treasury Operations Assistant owns the process to open, maintain, and close bank accounts, account services, and mandates related to those accounts, including account structure review and the change requests process.
- Liaise with the Group Board of Directors, Group and Unit management, and project teams regarding change requests, time frames, operational needs, and practicalities.
- Interact with Banking partners to understand the detailed requirements needed to set up new accounts and amend existing accounts.
- Work with the legal, tax, compliance, business units, and other internal teams to provide the identified requirements to the bank in a timely manner. Escalate where needed.
- Maintain, reconcile, share, and communicate schedules and databases of accounts, services, and signatories to internal stakeholders, where required. Be the point of contact for queries relating to the bank management.
- Work with the banks and internal parties to ensure that the “Know You Customer” details are updated for all Company entities, directors, and mandate signatories relevant to the bank accounts.
- Participate and contribute to group policies and banking procedures updates, communicate those policies and procedures internally and externally, and incorporate them in your daily work.
- Engage with Treasury team to regularly review processes to create efficiencies and improvements.
**Funds transfers**:

- Manage the fund transfer process, which are required to fund our projects.
- Be the point person for queries relating to fund transfers.
- Regularly review process for improvement and updates.
**Cash Management**:

- Responsible for obtaining and updating weekly and monthly cash positions for each bank account.
- Review of reporting templates to ensure account updates and changes are captured.
- Review and implement process to create efficiencies.
**Other Treasury activities**:

- Contribute to the Treasury department activities as required from time to time, including projects, ad hoc queries, process reviews, policy and other matters which could benefit the department and Mott MacDonald Group.
- Provide cover for other team members in times of absence.
- Work with the auditors to ensure they receive all the required treasury information to complete the year-end financial reports

**Required for the position**
- Treasury experience within a corporate or banking environment.
- An understanding of payment processes across various geographies.
- An understanding and appreciation of geographical nuances of banking practice, and banking culture.
- Good knowledge of bank documentation, corporate constitutional setup, entity onboarding requirements, bank processing, AML, and KYC environment.
- Good knowledge of general Treasury practice and policies.
- Strong Microsoft office knowledge.
- Ability to work in an organised manner with attention to detail - to be results-oriented.
- Good verbal and written communication skills - to be able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Good time management - to keep on top of many competing priorities and urgent queries.
- An understanding of GDPR, an appreciation of information security and an ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A team player who can establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members.

**Job Profile**

We are looking for a Treasury Operations Assistant to work in the global team in Croydon reporting directly to the Treasury Operations Team Lead.

The Treasury Operations Assistant maintains the bank account structure in over 80 countries, with some reporting and payment functions. This is a great opportunity to also participate in other functions in the Treasury team and grow in the role.
