**PART TIME ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT**

Established in 2001 and based in Beeston, Leeds, BJ Stainless Fabrications are one of the UK's leading metal fabricators working with a diverse range of customers, manufacturing a range of products which varies from pharmaceutical, structural steel works and bespoke items in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Reporting to the Company General Manager, we are now looking to recruit a part-time, fully experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team. Working in a standalone role, the successful applicant will undertake a wide variety of duties to ensure that all the accounts are completed efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner.

The primary duties will include but not limited to:

- Daily checking of the companies’ bank accounts and cashflow
- Monthly bank reconciliation
- Debtor and creditor management
- Weekly/monthly supplier payment runs
- Purchase/sales ledger control
- Raising proformas
- Processing invoices
- Sending out customer statements
- Taking card payments when required
- Management of expenses and petty cash
- Month/year end processes and quarterly VAT returns
- Monthly profit and loss
- Investigation of accounts discrepancies
- Contacting clients to resolve any issues
- Adhering to all accounts processes and development of new procedures where necessary

The successful applicant will also be responsible for ensuring that the accounts office is kept tidy and all paperwork is filed as appropriate and they will also be expected to provide assistance with other general administration duties as required.

Experience in all MS Office packages, Sage 50 Accounts is essential and knowledge of Payroll processing and Sage Payroll is desirable.

The role will be varied and requires someone who is results driven, an excellent communicator at all levels, can work effectively under pressure, is fully competent and experienced in all aspects of accounts administration, is AAT qualified (or equivalent) and with a strong background working in a busy finance department.
- FTE starting salary £24,000 to £26,000 (pro-rata for part time hours) which will be negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
- 28 days annual leave plus an extra day’s holiday for birthdays and an additional holiday given for the Christmas Shutdown period

Working hours Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. but can be flexible on this.
