Simpson Judge are working with a successful manufacturer in Stockport who are looking to appoint an experienced, hands on Financial Controller to support the Managing Director. This role will be responsible for the day to day management of the Finance team,production of accounts and working as part of the management team to support business growth. This role is office based due to the nature of the organisation but there may be an option of some home working if required. This role will suit someone with a backgroundin manufacturing looking to work within an entrepreneurial business and part of a larger Group.

**Responsibilities**:

- Production of monthly Management Accounts
- Production of results file and associated reports to deadline for month end
- Raising and posting nominal journals
- Reconciling all control accounts
- Attending monthly management meeting
- Controlling Debtor Ledger - including approving invoices and credit notes, checking that incoming payments have been posted.
- Checking that all invoices posted are raised correctly and in a timely manner
- Checking the aged debtor reports and answering Debtor queries
- Controlling Creditors Ledger, including approving all purchase invoices, supplier payments, checking aged creditors report, answering Supplier queries and raising new supplier accounts.
- Overseeing credit control, supervising and assisting with debt collection
- Production of weekly cash flows and reconciliation of accounts
- Liaising with Auditors with yearly accounts audit
- Providing payroll information to the external payroll bureau
**Requirements**:

- ACCA/CIMA Qualified - Qualified by Experience or studying towards a qualification will also be considered
- Management of IT systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Manufacturing experience would be beneficial but not necessarily essential
- Experience operating at a similar level in a SME
