**Medical Secretary**

**The London Gastroenterology Partnership (LG LLP)**

We are a group of five Consultant Gastroenterologists and three dietitians working in private practice in multiple sites in the South West London/Central London Surrey area. We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary as a replacement post to join our team of two existing secretaries in our administrative office based in Caterham on the Hill.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring all clinic letters are typed and sent out in a timely fashion following each clinic.
- Booking procedures arising from the clinics, ensuring all paperwork relating to such bookings is completed as priority.
- Answering telephone calls from patients, hospitals and colleagues in a polite and friendly fashion, being willing to go the extra mile whenever necessary
- Accurate administration and uploading of letters and results onto the MedDBase medical records system.
- Working closely with two established secretaries to ensure reliable provision of office duties throughout the normal working day.
- Any administrative task requested by the Partners.
- Ensuring smooth running of office.
- Maintaining a good working relationship with medical invoicing company and accounting company.

Ideally you should be:
An experienced Medical Secretary, proficient in medical terminology, audio-typing, confidentiality policies, electronic record keeping, MS Office and be able to deal confidently and professionally with hospital staff, other Consultant secretaries and patients.

Aware of and have a good knowledge of GDPR and CMA practices

Able to build good relationships with all the hospitals we work with, GP practices and other consultants

Able to work under pressure and be self-motivated.

Have IT skills to enable running of modern secretarial office.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £28,390.00 per year
