Logistics Technician

Logistics Technician - Hawarden
Hours Per Week: 37
Days Per Week: Tuesday to Saturday 5am-1pm
Permanent Salary: £19,047.60 per annum
Specific Accountabilities & Key Performance Indicators:

- Ensure that registration, preparation, and splitting of samples is carried out as soon as possible after receipt to comply with sample stability times
- Comply with the requirements of ISO 17025 & the Company's quality-management system
Position Duties and Scope:

- Pack samples/containers for distribution to customers or subcontractors via couriers
- Carry out filtration of waste water samples
- Rotate sample bottles and dispose of bottles after analysis
- Ensure that the workstation/working environment is clean and tidy at all times
- Washing of glassware
- Process returns or waste for recycling/disposal
Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities:

- Adhere to Health & Safety and Company policies & procedures
- Comply with the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and ensure good manual handling techniques are employed at all times
- Report any near-misses or incidents to the Line Manager
- Ensure that the workstation/working environment is clean and tidy at all times
- Follow correct storage guidelines
Position Requirements:

- 3 GCSEs (English and Maths desirable)
- IT skills including knowledge of Excel, Outlook and the ability to use in-house software after training
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Team working
- Ability to work accurately
- Good communication skills
