Bennett and Game Recruitment are currently working with a Food Manufacture who is seeking a Shipping Manager to join their Worcestershire location.

Our client supplier of food products and quality ingredients to manufacturers, food service and retail. Due to continued growth they are looking for a self motivated individual to join their team.

**Shipping ManagerPosition Overview**
- Manage the day-today export and import bookings of Air, Road and sea Freight jobs (predominantly seafreight)
- Reviewing shipping documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and HMRC regulations
- Manage the filing process for all associated shipment documentation
- Coordination with shipping companies to ensure competitive rates and management of schedules for shipments
- Maintenance of all records relating to incoming and outgoing shipments, including tracking numbers, dates, and container/ vessel information
- Establishing strong relationships with freight agents and shipping lines to develop new business opportunities
- Internallizison with the sales team assisting with quotations, shipment information and delivery schedules
- Oversee the management of the logistics team, deputising for team members in their absence

**Shipping ManagerPosition Requirements**
- Experience in customs regulations and freight management
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to communicate clearly at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft, particularly excel
- Approachable & Pro-active
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-changing environment
- Strong organisational and task management skills
- European languages an advantage (but not essential)
- Team player with great management skills and able to develop junior team members

**Shipping ManagerPosition Remuneration**
- Salary: £35-40K
- On site parking
- 20 days AL + Bank Holidays and the period between Xmas and NY (as the office is closed)
- Monthly on site chef experience
- 2 staff events twice a year (summer & xmas)
- Annual performance related bonus
- Employee of the month award voted by peers
- 30am-5pm with 30 mins lunch. Monday to Friday.
