**About the Food Technologist job**

As a key member of the technical team, you will be driving the technical activities for your category, ensuring all required sign-offs are met on time and to standard.

You will work with Procurement, NPD, and Operations/Sales global offices to ensure products are launched into production on time and to a high standard.

Key tasks:

- Manage supplier risk assessment and approval, auditing suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and food safety requirements.
- Take a lead role in the implementation and launch of products with the supplier base.
- Support the team in developing the Quality Management System (QMS) across all areas of the business with the aim of achieving GFSI recognised status.
- Lead the compilation and publishing of product technical specifications for all global projects whilst ensuring verification and sign-off.
- Support the investigation and reporting of non-conformances.
- Coordinate the surveillance programme to ensure routine checks based on product, supplier, and customer risk ratings.
- Working with global teams to implement appropriate regional systems.

**About You**
- Strong technical track record in food manufacturing.
- A background working with cheese or cheese based products is essential.
- Understanding of GFSI standards, HACCP/TACCP/VACCP and labelling legislation.
- Experience working with stage gate processes (product development) is desirable.
