**Hours of work**: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday / 08:00 - 15:30 Friday

**Rate of pay**: £12.00 - £14.50 Per hour

Wentworth James are currently seeking an experienced Manual Vertical Borer on behalf of a privately owned family run steel stockholder & distributor of Carbon and Stainless-Steel flanges and fittings. As a Vertical Borer you will be setting and operating Webster & Bennett machines, Centre Lathe Turning, operating Radial Drills for the machining of flanges.

**Duties of the role**
- Setting and operating vertical borers - Webster & Bennett 62” diameter table machine
- Machining of flanges and fittings
- Working to tolerances within +/-1mm
- Understand / interpret conventional drawings
- Centre lathe turning manufacturing carbon & stainless-steel flanges using conventional lathes
- Face, edge and boring of profiled carbon steel blanks
- Setting and operating a range of radial drills - from 3’ 6” to 10’ capacity.
- Setting of Pitch Circle Diameters (PCD), for flange drilling and tapping, using a rotary table.
- Previous Vertical Boring experience (Horizontal may be considered)
- Centre Lathe Turning experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Rate of pay: £12.00 - £14.50 Per hour

**Salary**: £12.00-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
