**Production Department Supervisor**

Universal Fibre Optics Ltd are looking for a Departmental Supervisor to join our busy team working in our Light Source Department. The role will appeal to anyone experienced in a similar role or someone wishing to take the next step in their career path to Management. Good interpersonal skills are required together with an organised and flexible approach. You will be a team-player but will also be able to inspire your colleagues to fulfil their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Supervision of departmental staff, including performance, quality of work, and attendance
- Processing and checking of all internal production orders and planning accordingly
- Monitoring of stock requirements and replenishment
- Maintaining all relevant and designated computer records
- Ensuring all relevant documentation is maintained
- General day to day administration duties.
- Provide essential support to Departmental Manager and ad hoc reporting as required.

**Skills/Experience/Knowledge**:

- Computer literate.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good time management, capable of meeting tight deadlines while being thorough and flexible.
- Problem solving and attention to detail.

**Desirable but not essential**:

- Experience of batch manufacture
- A good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
- Previous supervisory experience
- Ability to learn, adapt and take ownership of tasks as assigned.

Expected hours of work are 08:00 to 17:00 Mon-Thu and 08:00 to 14:30 Fri
