Purchase Ledger Assistant

**We have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, conscientious and responsible Purchase Ledger Assistant (Procure to Pay) to join our friendly and hardworking team.**
Working from our Head Office, the post-holder will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of c.25 invoices per day against purchase orders (where applicable) for the organisation, management of creditors, reconciling supplier statements and preparation of payment runs.
The post holder will ensure that our services are provided in a way that is consistent with our values, supporting and promoting an organisational culture that values: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and innovation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Creation and maintenance of Creditor Master files within financial package; including verification of bank details and any amendments such as payment terms in line with policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate entry and coding of all Creditor invoices, in line with management accounting deadlines.
- Preparation of payment runs inclusive of remittance information to Creditors and allocation on our system.
- Deal with Creditor statements, including full Creditor account reconciliations for key suppliers.
- Arrangement of any ad hoc payment requests in line with the Delegation of Authority.
- Assist the management accounts preparation by ensuring full details available for accruals and prepayments at point of entry.
- Ensure Intercompany recharges are processed in a timely fashion.
- Provide cover for other areas of the finance function in the case of annual leave or other absence.
**About you**
We would love to hear from you if you possess the following:
- GCSE Maths & English (A*-C/4-9) (or equivalent).
- Attainment of Level 3 appropriate qualification; or willingness to commence on appointment.
- Purchase Ledger Experience.
- Excellent attention to detail (accuracy KPI target of 100%).
- Self-starter with the ability to remain calm under the pressure of strict deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good understanding of MS Office including good Excel skills.
