**About The Role**:
An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Splicer Trainer, based in Warrington.

As the Principal Splicer Trainer at Svella Connect, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the performance, expertise, and professionalism of our splicing teams. Forming part of the Svella Academy training school, you will lead the coaching, mentoring, and training efforts for our current splicing workforce, drive the onboarding of new splicer resources, and uphold the highest standards of quality through meticulous quality assurance practices. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual who excels in both technical competence and leadership acumen. This will help the organisation continue on its course of delivering outstanding projects whilst maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and quality.

Other duties include:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive training and mentoring program for current splicers, focusing on skill enhancement, safety protocols, and efficiency improvements.
- Design and conduct training courses to onboard new splicer resources, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company standards.
- Establish training materials, manuals, and documentation to facilitate consistent and effective learning experiences.
- Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional splicing skills and a deep commitment to safety, precision, and work ethics.
- Oversee and execute quality assurance procedures, conducting regular audits of splicing teams' work to ensure compliance with Svella Connect's quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, team leaders, and other stakeholders to identify training needs, address performance gaps, and implement corrective actions.
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to splicing and telecommunications.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, professionalism, and accountability within the splicing teams.
- Actively participate in performance reviews and development plans for splicers, providing constructive feedback and guidance for their growth.
- Previous experience working within the telecoms industry
- Must have previous experience with working on live telecom networks.
- A proven track record of excellence in telecommunications splicing, with substantial experience in fiber optic splicing techniques and methodologies.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, demonstrated through prior experience in mentoring or training roles.
- In-depth understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, equipment, and industry regulations.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with a passion for maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic work environments and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and documentation systems.
- Commitment to safety, both personal and team-wide, with a proactive approach to risk management.
- A self-starter who can work independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
- Flexibility to travel to various project sites as needed.
- Valid Full UK driving licence.
- Relevant industry related accreditations
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
