I am working in partnership with Regional & City Airports to recruit this exciting opportunity as a Group Commercial Manager based at their Bournemouth airport but there will be travel to other airports in the group. This is an exciting opportunity tobe part of a business who already have an annual commercial income of approximately £10m per year but they are looking for a result driven forward thinking Commercial Manager to take a part of this revenue and take it to the next level.You will need to beenthusiastic and proactive to bring your experience and skills to rapidly respond to opportunities and delivering projects on time.
**The Role**
Leadership of the retail commercial ‘agenda’ for the Group, focusing on the key areas of importance
- Continuous improvement of concession yields and income
- Management and procurement of Group Concessions
- Oversight of Concessionaires
- Adding new and innovative concession products
- improve commercial income
- Strategic projects
The role will be accountable for making a step change in the performance of Commercial operations improving revenues, levels of customer services and defining and delivering innovative retail and commercial products. This will include close integration withthe E: commerce Executive and the clients digital suppliers to leverage incremental income from the clients digital platforms.
The role will be responsible for optimising revenues from the concessions and commercial activities and the postholder will be the established Retail Commercial go-to-person for the companies Group.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead oversight of retail concessions
- Procurement and contract management of concessions
- Maintenance of Concession database and contract register
- Review and performance monitoring of concessions
- Develop plans to grow yield and revenues
- Identify new products, new offers and new concession streams
- Leadership of the commercial teams to share ideas, best practice and progress ensuring integration of retail delivery with the retail representatives
- Work with E: Commerce to develop new routes to market to improve revenues
- Management of Retail commercial budgets and forecasts
- Carry out the procurement of other Group strategic purchases including aviation fuel.
- Delivery of the monthly concession reports and analysis ensuring a continuous improvement of the report content to ensure it appropriately reflects ongoing work streams and performance
- Delivering strategic projects
**The successful Commercial Manager will need to**:
- Be from a retail background;
- Have experience of managing suppliers’ concessions / contracts and / or experience of Retail Buying
- Have an experience of E: Commerce opportunities
- Have demonstrable experience of improving income and yield management
- Have proven customer service experience
- Be experienced in establishing and reporting against budgets
- Good level of IT skills
- Have an interest in new technologies
- Be able to work in UK
- Ability to multi-task and work under dynamic conditions and constraints with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to respond to users with a high degree of professionalism and accuracy
- Quick learner
- Excellent communication skills
- Be experienced with working across multiple sites
- Hold a driving licence
**The successful Commercial Manager**offers a competitive salary of £40-45,000 per annum depending on experience and benefits package.
