At Gregory Distribution Ltd (GDL), we have a vacancy for a **LGV Training Business Partner ** proficient in LGV training based in the Central Belt in Scotland but with regular travel to other depots in Scotland and the North of England.

**The position of LGV Training Business Partner involves**:

- Deliver the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) including the induction of all new drivers.
- Training will take place over MS Teams and our sites based in Scotland and the north of

England, this position will involve travelling and staying in accommodation overnight, when required.
- Deliver DCPC and refresher training.
- Defensive and fuel economy driving.
- Task Specific (TS) SSOW writing and training as well as some other specialist training
- Customer care and paperwork.
- EU and UK driver’s hours and tachograph regulations.
- Driver procedures.
- Health and safety and safe systems of work.
- Specialist equipment.
- Road Transport working time regulations.
- Vehicle telematics and other on-board systems.
- The Training Business Partner must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the transport industry/driving instructional skills which give confidence to those they will be assessing/training.
- Carrying out assessments of all drivers and identifying training needs, this will involve travelling to a variety of sites.
- Ensure good communication and working relationships with drivers and managers are maintained.
- Maintain robust and accurate training records.
- Providing support to recruitment events and occasional out of hours training activities.

**Essential Skills required for LGV Training Business Partner**:

- Minimum of 3 Years driving experience at Class 1.
- Have a good understanding of legal compliance, driver’s hours and WTD's.
- Ability to present to Senior Key contacts within the business and to the customer.
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- IT literate including MS Office. Strong analytic ability in review data and reports.
- UK Driving Licence due to travelling across our sites in Scotland and the North of England.

**Desirable Skills required**:

- Teaching qualification (PTTLS or L3 EAT)
- LGV Assessment or Instructional Qualification

- **Salary for LGV Training Business Partner is between £36,000 - £37,500 Depending**

**on Experience, plus £300 per month car allowance.**
- **Based on 45hpw Monday to Friday, Hours of work are Monday - Friday 07:00hrs -**

**17:00hrs. **This may require flexibility due to locations.
- You will be required to work a minimum of 6 weeks during the year on nights.
