**Job description**:
DIO Regional Delivery SW&RFCA (Reserve Forces & Cadets Associations) are responsible for the effective management of the Defence Estate in the South West Region, maintaining the MOD built estate and supporting our Customers throughout an extensive geographical area.

We are committed to the effective delivery of appropriate Infrastructure Services, Facilities Maintenance and customer directed additional works programmes.

The team at Fort Blockhouse (FBH) are responsible for the provision and management of all services provided to keep the site safe and compliant, and ensuring all operational outputs are maintained to an appropriate standard.

This is a challenging environment, which provides a developmental opportunity for the incumbent to gain knowledge and experience in a wide range of areas.

The Senior Storekeeper is accountable to Logistics Officer (FB) for all aspects of logístical support and stores accounting.

**Person specification**:
**Main Responsibilities**

Supporting line management in delivering departmental goals, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring an efficient Receipt, Storage, Issue, Dispatch, and accounting for all stores received into Support Unit Fort Blockhouse as detailed in the Defence Logistics Framework and other extant regulations.

In addition, acting as lead for the FBH Motor Transport section. Ensuring all White/Yellow Fleet vehicles are operated in accordance with JSP 800 (Road Transport Policy) the Defence authority for the Management, Control and Operation of all Defence Road transport.

Acting as focal point, liaising with all the Lodger Units, internal and external organisation for effective establishment management.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory requirements e.g. H&S training
- Encourage and promote collaborative working relationships both within the team and with wider business.

**Travel Requirements**

Some travel and occasional overnight stay may be required.

If a Counterbalance Forklift Licence is not held, training will be provided and this must be completed within 6 months of taking up the role.

**Desirable Experience & Skills**
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
- Previous experience with Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) and knowledge of working within a Stores environment.
- MoD Motor Transport Officer qualification and knowledge of Clarity Console IT system.
