EXCITING OPPORTUNITY AT HORNERS AUCTIONEERS
We are hiring We are currently looking for a full-time Auction Room Assistant to join our busy team at our Acle Auction Rooms.
This role isn’t about previous experience - it’s about having the right attitude. We are searching for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn. You’ll be working Monday to Friday plus the occasional Saturday.
As an Auction Room Assistant, you’ll be involved in a variety of tasks. This includes assisting with cataloguing, photography and booking in items (some heavy lifting is required). You’ll also be entrusted with setting up the saleroom, dealing with clients in-person and over the telephone and maintaining high standards of customer service at all times. On auction day, you’ll be involved with clients viewing items prior to the auction and with operating the online bidding system. You’ll also be responsible for dealing with our in-house packing service after the auction.
What we’re looking for is someone who is reliable, hardworking, trustworthy, polite and courteous. Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must, as is a good eye for detail. You should be able to work well both individually and as part of team. Being computer literate and familiar with social media is also essential.
**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
