Food and Beverage Attendant

**Job description**

The Grand Hotel is set on the middle of Hartlepool, soon to be a 50 bedroom hotel reopening, It has 50 bedrooms and large conference and banqueting facilities and dining for both residents and non residents. The hotel is owned by a family owned group of hotels based in East Anglia.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer focused individuals to become part of the Hotels team to work in our Food & Beverage department. We do ask that applicants are over the age of 18 to allow them to work unsupervised.

The working pattern reflects the nature of the role and the applicant needs to be willing to work on a flexible shift basis which can include weekends and bank holidays. We are looking for someone to support with breakfast service so must be able to do early starts shifts are 6.30am to 10.30am and also to support on our bar so this will include late shifts

Would ideally suit someone who has previous experience in the hospitality industry.

**Job Summary**

**Skills**

Impeccable service standards and customer care skills. A good understanding of Food and Beverage provision including mise en place and service standards, computer literate and have previous knowledge of using EPOS hardware and software. Ability to carry out any task when given appropriate training.

**Core Work Activities**
- Restaurant and Bar Service to customers, including taking orders, processing payments and menu knowledge
- Cleaning of public areas during service shifts
- Mise en place for all service shifts
- Check in and Check out of Guests
- Guest Billing Deal with customer enquiries and questions
- Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £7.00-£10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Weekend availability
