**The Role**
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Commercial Administrator to join our Commercial team based on the Spirella Campus in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire.
**The Project**
Key Responsibilities / Objectives of the Role - Co-ordinate, manage and administer all matters relating to sub-contract payments and ensure all payments are processed efficiently. - Ensure cash collection procedures are followed and administered in a timely and accurate manner, including valuation tracking, cross checking cash reports and retention status. - Assist with filing and administration of contracts, confidentiality agreements, supplier quotations and purchase orders. - Administer all matters relating to expenses. - Assist with uploading relevant property information (householder information, EPC certification, property assessments and the like) on to Energy Company database, to enable Energy Company funding payment to be obtained. - Liaise effectively with commercial and finance departments in respect of collation and transfer of information. - Assist with processing cheque requisitions. - Raise and send authenticated receipts and invoices where appropriate. - Update fixed asset register on a quarterly basis. - Assist with processing and take payments for low energy retrofit services where required. - Provide purchase order and subcontract order assistance to the commercial team.
**Essential and Desirable Criteria**
Qualifications and Memberships Essential - Good level of education to include 5 GCSEs and Grade C and above, including Maths and English. Desirable - Accountancy or Book Keeping qualifications would not be essential but would be considered advantageous.
**Personal Qualities**
Key Skills and Experience Required: To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate: - Proven experience of working in financial/book keeping role, including carrying out reconciliation and control activities and / or - Construction/commercial experience would be an advantage but is not essential. - Ability to produce work to high standards of accuracy. - Ability to understand and exercise rigorous financial and commercial control. - Ability to check information quickly to ensure high levels of accuracy. - Proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS Excel. - Good communication skills in dealing with both financial and non-financial staff. - Proactive approach to improving controls and making processes more effective and efficient.
