DevOps Engineer

**Role: DevOps Engineer (Azure)**
**Type: PAYE Contract**
**Start Date: Urgent**
**Location: Wokingham (once a week)**
**Duration: 12 months**
**Rate: £500pd PAYE**
**Responsibilities**
- Accountable for defining and implementing the build, deployment, and monitoring
- Become a part of Agile development teams to deliver an end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management
- Build and configure delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools
- Create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks
- Working closely with our development team to create an automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) solution
- Work together with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Monitor and support all installed systems and infrastructure
- Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems
- Developer enablement and support, conducting hand-over sessions with developers
- Resolving incoming platform and pipeline support tickets
**Skills Required**:
- Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal forms
- Ability to work and learn in a remote team environment (4h ahead in time)
- Experience deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting Kubernetes/OpenShift environments
- Security first mindset
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with monitoring, logging tools solutions preferably Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, EFK stack
- Experience with fully automating CI/CD pipelines as code (yaml based pipelines), experience with Tekton is a plus
- Effective verbal and non-verbal communication with peers and developers
- Develop, document, and implement CI/CD pipelines
- Solid experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Kubernetes/Openshift and Linux environments
- Strong scripting skills, including shell scripts, Bash, Python
- Experience with Kustomize, Helm or other templating solutions
