The Disability Resource Centre (DRC) is one of the leading disability organisations operating in Birmingham, Solihull and the wider West Midlands.

You will be responsible for the delivery of services and processes that support DRC’s core business. You will ensure that best practices are followed for maximum efficiency and that the most suitable working environment is attained for staff, volunteers, tenants (if any) and their activities. Working across a range of corporate governance, risk management, cyber security, data protection and health and safety. You will be responsible for developing compliance programs, revieing company policies and advising management on possible risk. You will be involved in day-to-day operations in relation to DRC’s health and safety, procurement and contract management, GDPR, and risk Quality and Compliance.

**Key Tasks**:
To Line manage the Office Coordinator (Reception and Support Services), in line with DRC’s performance management system; to monitor and demonstrate agreed service levels and report on service improvement.

To Oversee and ensure DRC’s premises and on-site activities meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation.

Working with the Head of Operations, to lead on the Health and Safety Working Group supporting the Office coordinator to produce Agendas and work plans and monitor actions arising from meetings.

To support the Office Coordinator to take lead on DRC’s Annual Health and Safety Audit to monitor and oversee the implementation of any actions arising.

To be a key holder and therefore open and close the building as required.

To act as one of DRC’s duly appointed Fire Marshalls and First Aider undertaking regular training as required.

To respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences.

To maintain DRC’s Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Strategy and relevant procedures.

To maintain DRC’s Risk Management Strategy, together with all registers, procedures and controls.

To maintain DRC’s Risk Management Strategy, Quality Assurance Framework, together with all procedures and controls.

To monitor compliance against service delivery, monitoring Governmental, public, grant and European contract requirements.

To maintain DRC’s Risk Management Strategy, Quality Assurance Framework, together with all procedures and controls.

To monitor compliance with legislation, professional standards and internal policies and procedures.

To develop and maintain robust and effective compliance controls and escalation procedures within DRC.

Working with Service Managers, to undertake audits and assessments of DRC’s service delivery and identify areas for improvement.

To lead on the day-to-day implementation of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), including acting as DRC’s Data Protection Officer.

To gather internal information in response to regulatory requests.

To take lead on monitoring and dealing with complaints in line with our complaints policies, making sure that information is recorded and acted upon accordingly.

To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities.

To be aware of and comply with equal opportunities, health & safety, safeguarding and data protection & security legislation and all DRC policies and procedures.

To work effectively as part of a team, to be flexible and responsive to changing client needs and DRC requirements.

To undertake other delegated duties as may be required from time to time, which are commensurate with the nature and grading of the post.

To monitor compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies and procedure and to investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: £25,543.00-£27,107.15 per year
