**Automation QA Tester - Java and Selenium**

**£55,000-£70,000**

**Hybrid working 2 days in the City office**

My client is a leading online gaming company are looking for a Automation QA Tester who has a minimum of 5 years’ experience of Java and Selenium Testing. In this role, you will work closely with developers, business analysts and QAs to ensure the quality of the software product through implementing and maintaining automated tests. In addition to your main responsibilities for UI automation, you will also be periodically involved in API automation and testing. By being a versatile team player who can handle both UI and API automation, you will help to ensure the overall quality of the software product and contribute to the success of our team.

**THE ROLE**:

- Improve/refactor the testing automation framework
- Write clean code that adheres to software engineering best practices, with a focus on scalable and maintainable test execution infrastructure
- Assist with API testing efforts as needed
- Analyse automated test run results
- Report issues and defects to the development team
- Work in an Agile environment
- Ensure software product quality through automated testing

**THE PERSON**:

- At least 4 + years’ experience with UI automation using Java + Selenium
- Experience with Cucumber or a similar BDD framework
- Experience with CI/CD, preferably with Jenkins
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent knowledge of QA methodologies and processes with demonstrated QA experience (automated and manual testing)
- Experience working as Manual QA Engineer - testing web and mobile web
- Proficiency working in an Agile Development Environment (SCRUM, Kanban)
- Experience in REST API testing using SOAP UI/POSTMAN

**Preferred**:

- Be familiar with the Atlassian toolset
- Experience with Ansible (basics). We use Ansible to configure Jenkins
- Experience writing API test scripts using Groovy/Java
