Are you a hard-working and reliable person? Do you have experience as a domestic assistant? In this role, you will provide canteen services and hospitality for staff and visitors.

The post holder will undertake general and specific cleaning duties, individually or as part of a team, throughout all parts of the building. Read on to find out more about this exciting opportunity.

**Main Duties**:

- Assisting in the preparation, cooking and serving of snacks, meals and buffets and maintaining the canteen facility run by or on behalf of the Organisation at its Monaghan Row Office.
- Such duties will include basic preparation of food and beverages, eg preparation of vegetables and snacks; simple cooking eg reconstitution of prepared food; transporting and serving of meals; general kitchen and dining room duties eg washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables; cleaning of kitchen, its surrounds and equipment
- Serving beverages and meals as required
- Cash handling to include receipt of monies, checking and reconciling monies received against till roll each day and submitting to Finance for inclusion in daily takings; and keep appropriate records for all monies received
- Cleaning designated areas to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition. Duties will include: the cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying litter bins, polishing and dusting of designated areas which include toilet and associated facilities and fixtures and fittings, using where appropriate the necessary powered equipment
- Undertake the cleaning of the canteen, kitchen, stores, servery and conference/meeting rooms according to rota arrangements and operational needs
- Carry out all the duties of the post in the working conditions normally inherent in the job
- Carry out duties in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Order 1978 (as amended); Acts of Parliament; Statutory Instruments and Regulations and other legal requirements; and all Policies and Procedures including Dignity at Work, Health and Safety, Attendance and all relevant Codes of Conduct
- Complete all documentation associated with the duties of the post

**Personal Attributes**:

- At least 12 months relevant experience in a food preparation/canteen role, including cleaning duties
- Have a working knowledge of health and safety, food hygiene and cleaning equipment
- Have a working knowledge of ordering and maintaining catering suppliesAbility to work on own initiative and working as part of a team
- Good Communication skills
- Available to work outside normal office hours to attend/service meetings as required, to include evenings or weekends as required
- Have access to transport to meet the requirements of the post

**Remuneration and Conditions of Assignment**:

- £9.78 per hour
- Full-time, temporary-ongoing
- 7.30am-3.30pm, 37 hours per week
- Basic Access NI check required at the cost of £18_ _
