Carbon 60 are looking to recruit a Welding Inspector for its manufacturing and engineering client based in Wrexham.

This placement is initially for a 3 month period with the possibility of a permanent position

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Welding Supervisor is responsible for the on-time and efficient delivery of quality products on the production floor.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsibility and coordination of day to day activities within the Welding, Orbital and Paintline areas, approx. 25 personnel.
- Ensuring that production processes are in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance, KPI Reporting and Performance Tracking.
- Communicating expectations to team members and evaluating their performance.
- Continuously monitor and improve production processes to ensure maximum output, cost efficiency and safe working conditions.
- Training & management of the team, taking action when needed.
- Ensure safe working practices and highlight hazards, PPE and its correct use, training as required, Investigating incidents, First Aid.
- Co-ordinate and plan work schedules providing guidance to production team members.
- Report and make recommendation on teams performance and overall department efficiency to the Production Manager.

- Capability of working to plan production schedules ensuring the availability of necessary materials and equipment
- Strong analytical skills to determine problems within the production process and take appropriate action
- Good time-management skills to minimise downtime and ensure a team works efficiently
- The ability to cope with pressure and make sound decisions quickly
- A firm understanding of health and safety regulations

**Experience**:

- 3 Years' Experience as a Welding Inspector
- To have thorough knowledge of fabrication and NDT techniques.i.e. VT, PT & MT
- To have thorough knowledge of QC Inspection and Dimensional Inspection techniques
- Qualified to CSWIP 3.1 (Level 2) minimum
- PCN Inspection & Testing Level 2
- Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14731:2019 and ISO 14732:2013

**Working Days/Hours**:

- Monday to Thursday 39 hours per week
- Overtime as/when required

**Salary/Wage**

£17.64 per hour - overtime time and a half after 39 hours, double time Sunday
