Hourly rate - Up to £11.09 per hour (higher rate upon proof of required qualification)

Working hours/pattern - Days available

08:00 hrs - 20:00 hrs (Days)

Location - Parkhouse Avenue, Castletown, Sunderland, SR5 3DF

**The Role**:
Our Senior Care Assistants champion high quality care, compassion and resident dignity. You will work closely with a Registered Nurse or Deputy Manager and take on responsibility for the physical, emotional well-being and social needs of our residents. You will support and supervise a team of care staff, act as a role model delivering high quality care, and comply with clinical governance.

**About you**:
As a Senior Care Assistant you will be an ambassador of Orchard Care Homes, liaising with GPs, health professionals and the residents’ families and friends, always promoting a professional and caring image of the home whilst championing our 6 core values; Enjoy Life, Welcoming, Kind, Professional, Positive and Respectful. Whilst it’s not imperative that you have a Level 3 qualification in health and social care, you need to possess your Level 2 and have a desire to achieve your Level 3 via our career pathway.

Rated ‘Good’ by our regulator CQC, Lansbury Court is a purpose-built, single-storey modern care home located in the former mining community of Castletown. Our home provides specialist residential, dementia residential and short-term respite care and boasts a ‘Gold’ rating by Sunderland City Council 2018. Lansbury Court benefits from its proximity to the River Wear and Hylton Castle, with transport links to Wessington Way and a bus service that stops directly outside the home.
