An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to come and join our highly skilled team here at Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals appliance offices.

Our team covers our demographical area with a high standard of care in the supply and maintenance of a long list of patients for a wide variety of conditions and complex needs. In our department, we look after both Adult and Children services on both the Southport and Ormskirk site. We are the department that ensures children from a young age with limb difficulties are splinted safely and treated with us right through to adulthood.

The main roles of the job consist of the creation and maintenance of the outpatient service through inputting data into the hospitals Electronic patient record database as well as ensuring the clinic provision is set up sufficiently to enable a smooth service is provided to our service users.

In addition to this, the post holder will be responsible for the maintenance and ordering of stock for the department to ensure that patients treatment is carried out in the most optimal timeframe.

The post holder will have financial duties, such as the cross charging of invoices to other departments within trust guidelines and approving of invoices to ensure our relationship with our local trusted suppliers are maintained.

Working as part of Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals Appliance office, you will work alongside a team of highly experienced members of staff from orthotists to plaster technicians with a supportive management network.

We pride ourselves in being a small department at the heart of the orthopaedic service who provide a high quality service to all of our patients whether they are a rapid turn around patient, or a patient who will be with our service for their lifetime. Therefore, we work with a network of supportive teams to ensure this is maintained.
