**Performance Objectives**
- Day to day management of supplier schedules within a portfolio of suppliers ensuring continuity of materials supply.
- Daily liaison with suppliers and managing supplier adherence to schedules.
- Ensuring all exceptions and arrears are actioned in a timely manner and reported daily.
- Measuring and reporting supplier conformance.
- Controlling inventory levels to target levels.
- Analysing stock discrepancies to determine root causes and liaising with other departments including engineering and production.
- Communicate internally to the operations leadership team daily on any potential shortage of material required for production.
- Set and maintain planning parameters and adequate levels of safety stocks.
- Co-ordinating inbound supplier logistics both UK and India.
- Maintenance of performance in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) Including Stock days, inventory levels and emergency freight targets.
**Person Specification**
- Material planning experience within a manufacturing environment is essential for this role.
- Working knowledge of SAP (IMS).
- Comprehensive understanding of MRP and maintaining supplier MRP Schedules on SAP.
- Intermediate/Advanced Level of Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- The capability to manage expectations within the team and in a professional manner.
- Outstanding organisational skills, including the ability prioritise your workload effectively and to meet predetermined deadlines.
- The motivation and ability to work efficiently when under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- This is a fast moving role so you will need to be resilient and have a strong sense of urgency to succeed within this challenging but rewarding role.
- The role will be joining an established team and therefore you will need to fit into this whilst bring new ideas, ambition and drive.
