Embedded Software Engineer

£40K to £65K + package

Gloucester

Exciting growth with an international electronics manufacturing business supported by massive investment makes this a unique opportunity. This business already invests 40% to 50%+ of profits in to R&D.

This is an engineers dream

They manufacture life saving products, have a global customer base and are leaders in their field.

You will work in a team to develop the next generation products using C and C++ and collaborate across a range of development projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Specify, write, test, modify and document software for next generation products.
- Understand design requirements.
- Collaborate on the architecture of embedded software projects.
- Have an interest in new technologies and deliver creative and scalable solutions.
- Monitor the progress of work, identify bottlenecks and solve problems.
- Great if you have experience of writing engineering tools in Windows, C#/.NET etc but not essential.

Experiences/Qualifications;
- Experience in writing C/C++ code for microcontrollers (including hardware drivers). Ideally in design and manufacture of technical products.
- Ability to work hands-on with prototype hardware.
- Experience using software development tools e.g. IDEs, ALM Tools etc.
- Clear communicator.
- Self-motivated and confident.
- Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
- Well organised.
- Able to deliver solutions.
- Able to work in teams.
- Qualified to degree level or have relevant experience.
