Production Assembly Operator

record uk is the UK subsidiary of the Agta-Record Group who is among the world market leaders of automatic pedestrian door systems. The group manufactures and distributes door systems to over 40 countries worldwide.

We design, manufacture, supply, install and service automated door systems and aluminium shop-fronts throughout the UK to a wide range of organisations and clients.

Due to continued growth and high demand for its services, the company is now seeking to recruit a Production Assembly Operator to join the team in our expanding group based in Blantyre.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
1) Assembly of above Products.

2) Inspect and control the quality of products ensure compliance to drawings and customer specification requirements.

3) Highlight issues in the quality and/or on-time fabrication of product and ensure problems and questions are promptly resolved.

4) Complete the assembly of orders to ensure on-time delivery in full (OTIF) to customer requirements.

5) Eliminate waste and limit of unproductive activity.

6) Ensure material issued to the Shopfloor is protected and used correctly.

7) Maintain a high standard of personal production performance, behaviour, absence, clocking in/out and timekeeping and comply with Company processes and procedures.

8) Comply with Company H&S processes, procedures and principles.

9) Ensure that your work area adheres to 5S principles to ensure that the area is clean, tidy, organised and controlled.

10) Complete the following additional duties;
- Offloading of bulk material and the safe and accurate location onto designated bulk store locations.
- Drive company vans to make deliveries/collections to suppliers, job sites, customers and Record UK hubs
- Operation of forklift trucks internally and externally in a safe and proficient manner (training can be provided)
- Packing of fabricated doors and glass onto pallets and wooden frames and loading onto third party trucks and vans.

11) Ensure that you adhere to all requisite legal, health and safety, environmental and general duty of care requirements.

12) You may be required to undertake tasks outside of those detailed above as directed by the Operations Director and/or Management team.

**Desirable Criteria**

1. Experience/Knowledge of the Aluminum door industry

2. Previous experience working as a Production Operator within a fast-paced flow production environment.

**Additional Information**

Hours: 39 hours per week

(Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:00, Friday 07:30 to 15:00)

Holidays: 33 days

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour
