**Yard Operative**

**The role**

To undertake the successful implementation and completion of yard tasks, plant upkeep, stock recording, batching, unloading & loading of vehicles, deliveries/watering.

**Your responsibilities**

Communicate clearly and positively with all parties including Managers, AOMs, Team Leaders and other colleagues.

Meet all targets and deadlines and ensuring the efficient use of resources.

Ensure that you have the correct materials, plant and tools to complete the jobs given to you.

All requests will be clearly communicated to you, giving as much notice as possible.

Ensure that the daily maintenance of the vehicles, plants and tools are carried out and company property is looked after and respected.

You will be responsible for your own day to day health and safety and of those around you.

Only complete tasks in which you are competent and trained and will ensure that all works is completed in accordance with the company’s health and safety policy, risk assessments and method statements.

Ensure that all your work is completed to the best possible standard, in accordance to any instructions and specifications you have been given and to the satisfaction of the client.

Suitable records are to be kept especially with deliveries regarding quality, quantity and batching.

**What we’re looking for**

Must have a full clean driving license.

Well presented, punctual, good mannered and respectful to all.

Keen and eager to learn all aspects of the company’s operations and be adaptable to the changing needs of the business.

To be proactive and be able to work without supervision and be flexible to meet peak demand.

You will be able to take instruction and discuss any issues clearly.

Make a positive contribution to your work team and be prepared to meet all challenges in a positive and constructive manner.

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour

**Hours**: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 16:30pm

**Full PPE and company uniform will be provided.
