Console Operator

**Role and Responsibilities**

**About the role**:
CAE is supporting the delivery of training for the Poseidon MRA1 (P-8A) programme. We are looking to hire a Console Operator (Controller).
In this role you will provide scenario control and perform a ‘White Force’ role for training sessions at the Atlantic Building, RAF Lossiemouth. You will oversee the operation of the consoles and provide critical support directly to the RAF.
The role will suit ex-Weapon System Operators (WSOs) looking to maintain their connection with the maritime patrol fraternity, ensuring the military personnel train to the highest standards.

**Key Requirements**:

- Facilitation of individual and whole crew training events, including:

- OCU applied training
- Front line continuation training
- Facilitating training on console operation to RAF personnel
- ‘White Force’ role playing
- Supporting team and collective training through the DOTC and other networks
- Act as ‘game controller’ during Weapons Tactics Trainer (WTT) and Weapon Systems Trainer (WST) training events
- Brief and debrief WTT/WST training events
- Military background with experience in maritime patrol operations
- Ex-RAF/ RN WSO
- Successful completion of the Aircrew Instructor Course (AIC) or equivalent
- Direct experience with the specified assets or similar high fidelity training devices to a standard that allows effective facilitation of training events
- The ability to obtain or transfer Security Clearance which the Company sponsors (applicants must have lived continuously in the UK for the past 5 years in order to obtain security clearance) or currently holds NATO SC level Security Clearance that can be transferred from overseas to the UK.
