This pivotal role is dedicated to managing Kingsland's environmental responsibilities, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering a culture of sustainability. - **Environmental Management System Oversight**: Manage and maintain our environmental management system to ISO14001 standards.
- **Training & Communication**: Conduct internal training, identify environmental training needs, and effectively communicate environmental issues within the business.
- **Monitoring and Improvement**: Monitor waste, energy, water, and effluent releases, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- **Internal Audits**: Maintain a program of periodic internal audits for ISO14001 and recommend appropriate actions.
- **Supplier Audits & Relations**: Conduct Duty of Care audits on environmental suppliers and maintain strong relationships with wine suppliers.
- **Information Management**: Respond to customer and regulator requests for sustainability and environmental information.
- **Legal Compliance**: Maintain the environmental legal register and ensure Kingsland's compliance with environmental legislation.
- **Customer Engagement**:Communicate with customers, particularly environmentally driven organizations, to generate more business.
- **Safety and Responsibility**: Maintain a high degree of personal safety and responsibility in the workplace.
- **Interdepartmental Collaboration**: Develop good working relationships across all departments to meet ISO14001 needs and wider environmental program goals.
- **Documentation and Records**: Ensure all documentation and records are maintained to high standards in accordance with ISO14001: 2015.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities regarding environmental practices.

**Key Ingredients**
- **ISO14001 Standards Management**:Uphold Environmental Impacts & Aspects Register and maintain ISO14001 certification.
- **Stakeholder Interaction**:Regular interaction and reporting to line managers, management, and staff for environmental awareness.
- **Data Management**:Collect and report data to maintain site environmental permits and manage environmental foot printing.
- **Event Participation**:Involvement in supplier exchanges, events, and wider supply chain audits to promote sustainability.
- **Educational Background**:Degree in an environmental discipline or equivalent professional qualifications, with at least 1 year’s experience in an environmental compliance role.
- **ISO 14001 Training**:Internal Auditor training is desirable.
- **IEMA Membership**:Desirable.
- **Skills**:Excellent administration, time management, team motivation, and IT skills.
- **Communication**:Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- **Teamwork and Improvement**: Proven track record in team working and achieving continuous improvement objectives in an environmental role

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
