**Job overview**:
**Main duties of the job**:
Work within a multidisciplinary team supervised by a qualified Midwife to deliver safe high-quality care within our maternity service, supporting women and their families to ensure they receive the best care possible throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postnatal period.
- Deliver the best standard of care to women and their families
- Be a confident role model with a kind caring attitude
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be flexible and have the ability to work in an extremely busy environment
- Help to deliver safe care within the team
- Be willing to develop new skills as the maternity staffing evolves
- Be willing to develop the skills and competences necessary to progress to a Band 3 Maternity Support Worker
- Will provide a service which values, respects, and strengthens the differing cultures and backgrounds of the families using our service
- Have a responsibility and legal obligation to ensure that information processed for both patients and staff is kept accurate, confidential, and secure in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Security and Confidentiality Policy.
