Mhe Trainer

**Role**: MHE Trainer - South

**Location**: Hitchin, with travel to sites based in the South

**Hours**: Full time 42.75 hours per week - Mon - Fri

**Salary**: Competitive, dependant on experience

**The role**:
Reporting to the L&D Manager, your role will be to manage critical safety, health, and environmental training for the Group including mobile and fixed plant. You will ensure that employees, based at our sites in the South (including temporary employees other than contractors) are trained and competent to deliver their assigned roles.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Deliver high quality training in line with the requirements of the business and external certification bodies
- Delivery of plant and equipment training courses within the business, including training on the following plant types to a certified scheme (e.g. ITSAAR, RTITB): Forklift - (including counterbalance, rough terrain, telescopic), 360o excavator, Skidsteer/ Bobcat, Wheeled loading shovel, Mobile Elevated Working Platform, First Aid at Work (1 day, 3 day and refresher), Abrasive wheels, Fire marshal, HS&E Induction, Other training to be delivered depending on business need.
- Implement effective and purposeful training methods.
- Develop training manuals that target tangible results.
- Assess and evaluate employees’ skills, performance and productivity to identify areas of improvement.
- Effectively communicate with team members, trainers and management.
- Keep abreast of training trends, developments, and best practice.
- Ensure that all internal training packages are compliant with best practice and where applicable with National Occupational Standards
- Training qualifications commensurate with the training provided
- Certified in operating the items of plant
- Full drivers licence (the role requires extensive UK travel)
- Experience and proven trainer with a good understanding of recycling operations or similar high-risk/heavy industry
- Hold a nationally recognised trainer certificate for the key categories of plant used by the business
