**Sad news - our current Ranger is moving on...but that means we have space for you**

**Are you passionate about nature? Have you got experience of working in countryside management and conservation? Are you motivated and enthusiastic, happy to work in a team but equally great working by yourself? If so, it sounds like you may be just who we're looking for...**

So, what's involved? You'll be working as part of a wider grounds team but you'll be the key staff member looking after four of our major green spaces:

- **The Ghyll LNR **(18 hectares of important semi-natural habitats including ancient gill woodland and species-rich grassland. You'll also find areas of scrub, tussocky grassland, diverse bracken stands and mixed secondary woodland. A jewel in the town council's crown)
- **Crowborough Country Park LNR** (16 acres with a diverse mosaic of habitats including dry and wet woodland, remnant ancient coppice, streams, ponds and rocky outcrops. A wonderful place for a quiet walk round the circular path that rings this special site)
- **Bluebell Wood **(2 acres of mature woodland right in the heart of the town - a place of escape and tranquility)
- **New* Pocket Park** (You will have a chance to bring this project to completion, turning this bite-sized green space into a haven for wildlife and a place for local residents to enjoy)

**So, is anything essential for this role?**

**YES - **because you will need to drive council vehicles or machinery, you will need a full, valid driving licence.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 31 per week

**Salary**: £24,948.00-£26,845.00 per year
