Fostering Administrator - Quality Foster Care - Benfleet
Our Quality Foster Care team is looking for an Administrator to join our fostering team based in Benfleet, Essex.
Being part of the wider team, you will be covering the administration duties for our Benfleet fostering service. Working at Quality Foster Care you are part of Five Rivers Child Care group, where you will be part of a team that makes a difference in children’s lives across the UK by working alongside and supporting our social work colleagues.
Our office has parking on site and is easily commutable from the wider community.
In this role as the Fostering Administrator, you will be looking after the administrative duties that arise in the office, so good typing and communication skills are essential; from time to time, you will also be required to take minutes from meetings that take place, write reports, and respond to general inquiries that come into the office. This is a busy and demanding role it will allow you to show your skills of multi-tasking, using your initiative and confidence in a way to approach tasks independently.
Part of the role as the Fostering Administrator also includes initial foster carer checks and sending out for references in line with Five Rivers policies.
In our fostering service, we use a database called CHARMS. You will receive full training on this to ensure compliance is adhered to, and we will provide a formal induction and training for this.
Hours
This is a full-time role for 37 hours per week, our office hours are 9am - 5pm (Mon - Fri) with an hour for lunch.

**You will have**:
Experience working in the fostering sector and/or with children/young people in social care (desirable)
Excellent Word and Excel skills plus knowledge of PowerPoint
The ability to handle complex situations
Proven organisation skills and time management
A valid driving licence
The right to work in the UK
