The NCA are delighted to offer a fulltime post for a passionate and self motivated midwife to deliver the Parent Support Expectations of the Family Hubs and the Start for Life Programme.

The post holder will be expected to provide a universal and targeted offer of education, which will help make the transition to parenthood as smooth as possible, whilst emphasising the importance of sensitive and responsive caregiving. This programme should comprise a broad universal support service, alongside more targeted evidence-based programmes for parents/carers with further needs.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team based within Family Hubs and other locations across Rochdale, Middleton and Heywood.

The post holder will also be required to work some clinical hours, which will be rostered on a monthly basis, in order to: give assurance of maintenance of clinical skills; enhance knowledge of clinical care pathways/systems and ensure that the post holder maintains clinical credibility

Main duties of the job
- Develop & deliver both virtual and face-to-face antenatal parent education in Family Hubs & local communities across the borough.
- Lead, co-ordinate and implement a multi-agency antenatal education offer to be delivered across the Family Hubs, both face to face and digitally.
- Develop communications to promote the offer across the borough in line with the ‘Family Hubs Communications Strategy’.
- Raise awareness across the multiagency workforce in relation to the antenatal offer for families including the VSCE/faith sector.Work flexibly out of hours to meet the needs of families - which may include evenings, weekends.
- Engage expectant parents from under-served/seldom heard groups across the borough in antenatal & parent craft education.
- Support with the alignment of antenatal online resources alongside ‘Our Rochdale’ website and ‘Essential Parenting’ in order to enable effective signposting to one service for all families requiring help and support.
- Monitor, evaluate and produce data report in order to demonstrate the impact, outcome and user satisfaction of the antenatal services and interventions implemented
- Work within a multi-agency group to develop and embed referral pathways for parenting support for new and expectant parents.

**_ This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role._**

- Evidence of CPD

- Teaching and assessing qualification
- Management experience / qualification

- Excellent IT Skills
- Ability to lead, coordinate and implement multi-agency education sessions
- Displays good clinical knowledge
- Ability to use a variety of presentation skills

Desirable criteria
- Experience of implementing and hosting parent education classes
