Lakeside Bistro is an independently run business set in a picturesque setting of Beacon Park. With 100 covers indoors and outdoors to eat in or takeaway we serve a selection of Breakfast, Lunch, Cakes, and snacks. Our philosophy is simple food done well with quality sourced ingredients are popular with customers for items such as full English breakfasts, jacket potatoes, pancakes, paninis and freshly made sandwiches.

A seasonal business due to its unique location in the middle of the park we are open all year-round but have quieter months and under new ownership this is an exciting time for an experienced cook to join the team and help develop the kitchen offerings and maintain standards ready for peak season between April and September.

With no evenings or split shifts this is a great opportunity for an experienced cook who has a can-do attitude, flexible on days available and willing to help Front of House staff where necessary.

Although we normally have one cook on each day you will be supported by an experienced qualified team of front of house staff who are always on hand to help. An open kitchen you will still get all the benefits of working as part of a friendly team and the warm and friendly atmosphere of Lakeside Bistro.

Person Specification

Essential:

- Experience in a similar role such as Café/Bistro/Restaurant
- Available Weekends, Flexible on days and extra shifts to cover holidays
- Self-motivated and happy to be the only cook on duty.
- Willingness to clean and maintain all areas of the kitchen and kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, and pot wash.
- Experience with Kitchen paperwork
- Willing to work in other areas of the business such as Front of House.

Desired but not essential
- Experience of ordering and costing
- Experience writing and pricing menus.
- Driving Licence and car (due to the location of the business)

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
