**Job description**:
Could you be one of our new Business Support Officers? This is an opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual in a fast-paced role within the Central Region which requires an ability to deal with sensitive matters and handle the expectations of customers.

As the Business Support Officer, you will be working with DIO colleagues and our Service Provider, to enable the organisation to achieve its objectives of delivering quality services to the Front-Line Commands (FLC’s) in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

As the Business Support Officer you will provide support to the assurance of provisions. You are responsible for providing contract management through contract change requests, assisting in facilitating effective performance and accountable for financial reporting. You will act as a conduit for Hard & Soft Facilities Management (FM) contractual performance and lead on issue resolutions at Establishment level in the Central Region, utilising effective communication and influencing skills.

Acting as focal point on all area hard & soft facilities management matters within the Region, providing as an effective interface between Estate Users and Service Providers; utilising and exploiting Microsoft products including Excel and Teams to manage and report. You will be accountable for ensuring that you adhere and conform with all agreed DIO and associated processes and operating procedures.

**Person specification**:

- The team will be responsible for all area hard & soft FM matters within the Region. Acting as an interface between Estate Users and Service providers.
- Responsible for supporting the Central Region in providing a SME centre of excellence for Customer Support and Customer Delivery of the hard and soft FM contracted requirements.
- Contract Management - Assist in the management of Contract change requests and aiding in the completion of change request business cases. Providing support to Commercial in the clarification of contract questions and queries.
- Assurance Checks - Assist in the management of occurrences and failures of the Contract and support to the Estate Facilities Managers and Contract Supervising Officers in the delivery of assurance checks at Establishment level.
- Responsible for supporting the management, review and reporting of FM risk and issues across area of responsibility.
- Ensuring change of requirements are publicised clearly with impacted individuals informed at the early stages, escalating where necessary.

**Licences**:

- A Full Driving Licence is essential for this role, due to the need to travel to different sites across the region. Many of these are not accessible by public transport.**Behaviours**:
