**A2B Staffing **are urgently seeking an experienced **Warehouse Supervisor** for our client based in Oldbury to **start immediately**.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturing and warehousing company. Permanent position offered **straight away**

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager with the responsibility of organising and supervising the team, picking, packing and despatch of all despatched goods from the business.

**Hours**:Monday-Friday 08:30 to 17:00

30 minute break for lunch and two 10 minute breaks either side.

**Pay Rate**

28k p/a including monthly and yearly performance related bonuses

**Duties of the role**:

- Managing the **Goods In** department and day to day planning of the department while looking after the team and managing the full procedure of Warehouse Management System
- Oversee and complete all daily tasks/activities within the area of operation while assisting and supervising of the team
- Ensure procedures, standards and timeframes for all aspects of goods outwards operations are communicated to warehouse operatives and acted upon
- Plan, monitor and adjust task allocation to make sure that all operational deadlines and customer service and quality standards are met taking account of the impact outside own area of responsibility
- Plan, monitor, and adjust staffing levels and schedules (including managing staff holiday/sickness absence).
- Control hours and overtime by operating to agreed standards of staff utilisation, and within budget while supporting the identification of ways to reduce costs/waste or inefficiencies.
- Demonstrate awareness of cost/benefit as applicable to tasks while contributing to the warehouse succession plan
- Manage the performance of team members by agreeing expectations (standards, measures etc.), providing on-going feedback and holding regular performance reviews with their teams.
- Take prompt action to address performance or conduct issues, following formal company policies as and when necessary.
- Work closely with the Senior warehouse supervisor to improve own and others’ performance.
- Conduct return-to-work interviews and follow absence management processes, as necessary.
- Deliver on-the-job training and development for the teams (e.g., induction).
- Participate in recruitment activities and conduct probation reviews for new employees, identifying staff development needs and put plans in place to meet them.
- Initiative to maintain effective two-way communication with the team through team briefings.
- Minimum of 5 years experience of a warehouse manager/supervisor position
- Strong people skills and a real supportive team player as you will be required to lead by example; motivating team members to succeed.
- Experience of a high volume, fast paced environment
- Working knowledge of warehouse principles and demonstrable history of success in a similar role
- Computer literate and experienced with SAGE system or similiar preffered
- Strong numeracy skills

**Key Skills**:

- The ability to communicate at all levels, consulting with all departments
- High level of attention to detail and very KPI focused
- Planning, prioritising, time management and organisation skills
