Analytical Scientist - Pharmaceutical - Contract - 12 months - South East

Our client is a leading Global Pharma CDMO. At present they are seeking x2 Analytical Scientists on a contract basis for 12 months at their site in the South East, UK.

**Responsibilities**:

- Test Method Transfers
- Process Validation Testing of new business products
- Individual testing projects generated through the commercial group
- Test Method Validation
- Support product, production or test method investigations of new business projects
- Facilitate introduction of new analytical equipment
- Development of methods for cleaning verification and support of testing projects
- Provide support to cost proposal generation..
- Review data supplied by Customer and assess any gaps in capabilities and resource requirements to complete transfers and routine testing
- Produce documentation in support of analytical method verification/validation and method transfer activities.
- Prepare analytical reagents/media/cultures for general laboratory use.
- Ensure analytical instruments are correctly maintained and calibrated.
- Cross functional support to other team members of the Technical Team including pharmaceutical technologists, packaging and process engineering.
- Provide suitably validated methods for plant cleaning and complete analysis of appropriate samples.
- Provide timely analytical support to new business activities.
- Work closely with the process technologists to understand development issues, and participate in the interpretation and evaluation of analytical results.
- Identify new equipment as required and support it’s installation and qualification.
- For Project based work perform the identified tasks within the specified timelines and report progress to the Project Manager.
- Provide individual test reports for commercial projects as required.
- Act as analytical representative on communication with Customers

Knowledge & Experience:

- Degree in biology / chemistry
- Experienced in analytical testing in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Thorough understanding of the GLP documentation requirements of a QC lab.
- Experienced in safe working in a chemical testing laboratory.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving abilities.
