**Ambulance Care Assistant (10 positions)**
**Location: Belfast covering Northern Ireland**
**Contract type: Permanent**
**Hours: Full Time / Part Time. Hours will vary between 8 to 12 hour shifts days to evenings on a seven day service. Hours available 10,12, 20, 24, 30 and 36 per week**
**Salary: £20,405 per annum pro-rata**

**_We currently have exciting opportunities, for enthusiastic, and caring individuals to join our team in Northern Ireland on a casual basis, to support our Patient Transport Service._**
Our Ambulance support work is contract driven and based around agreements to provide a range of services from Patient Transport to emergency ambulance support within Northern Ireland.
You will work as part of a team responsible for providing safe and effective patient transport for people within the Northern Ireland. The role involves driving, or assisting as part of a crew, patients with different requirements based on their mobility classification.
You will play an important role in conveying patients in a safe, comfortable, and sympathetic manner, observing road and driving conditions at all times.
Ambulance Care Assistants tend to work shifts of 8 to 12 hours duration. Working patterns are over a seven-day service. Full training will be provided.
Full training will be provided prior to commencing operational activities. The training will be delivered through a mix of online self-service, face-to-face and Zoom modules. For this reason, applicants will need to be available for x6 face to face training sessions (weekends), home e-learning and Zoom delivered training (from home) over x3 days and x2 evenings.
To be a successful Ambulance Care Assistant;

- Your previous experience, as well as understanding and awareness of the differing physical needs of our service users.

- You have a full, clean drivers’ licence (held for a minimum of two years) (Essential)
- You're passionate about bringing your experience of patient care to the British Red Cross.
- You're flexible - comfortable working shifts including unsocial hours, bank holidays, evenings and weekends as required.
