WHAT TO EXPECT:
Delivery of the agreed Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) plans is essential to help achieve Jaguar Land Rover's business plans whilst supporting internal and external stakeholders. The Vehicle Planner will be an integral part of the Supply Chain Planning Squads responsible for successful planning and execution of our rolling weekly, monthly and quarterly plans. This role will support planning, delivery and co-ordination of specific vehicle activities with the main focus on managing sales order bank. The Vehicle Planner will work closely with the Squad Manager and with the other squad members to deliver the best experience for our customers in line with our Creator’s Code. This role is broad in scope and varied in nature and provides an excellent development opportunity. It requires flexibility in what can be complex and challenging environment, and you will need to embrace Agile ways of working.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Vehicle Planner you role will be to plan and manage sales order bank, forecast, capacities and trim level introduction to support vehicle launch and model year run in and run out activities. You will generate weekly supplier schedules based on the latest order bank data and assist in issuing the operating strategy and drive forecast generation through analysis of order bank option take rates and populate Pipeline Ordering System with accurate and up-to-date information.

You will need to coordinate timely order submissions and order priorities with the Plant Vehicle Scheduling team and ensure timely order availability from markets and manage the order bank to customer lead time targets; and work collaboratively with Capacity planning team to ensure that the supply base has sufficient capacity to support demand changes, customer sales orders and future model programmes.

You will need to lead, coordinate and implement ongoing order to delivery improvement initiatives/projects and deliver agreed changes.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
You will be highly numerate and analytical with a great attention to detail. You will also need to show clear examples of problem-solving skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Must be systems literate including knowledge of MS Office, Big Query, Tableau
- The ability to analyse data and consolidate information to present in senior management reviews
- Critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills to analyse information objectively and make a reasoned judgement
- Proven levels of multi-tasking with agility to complete multiple operational tasks on short and tight deadlines
- Ability to flex between big picture thinking, understand and distil complex ideas and analyse data to drive strategic objectives and priorities
- Work independently, manage priorities and take the initiative to engage with multiple stakeholders to seek the best solution to the problem, proven the ability to influence and persuade
- Have effective communication skills, able to lead cross-functional meetings and teams to improve customer experiences
- Good level of knowledge of the Jaguar and Land Rover products, services and markets
- Drive to continuously seek out improvement
- Working level experience and/or knowledge of Agile Methodology
