Alongside this, you will also spend a small amount of time supporting our processes for monetary donations too. The role, once a few weeks of training are completed, will be predominantly working from home where you should have a suitable quiet space to work from in order to have video call meetings with prospective donors of IT kit who have contacted us and are interested in finding out more about what we do.

This is an ideal role for a tech savvy person with direct customer contact experience, someone with transferable skills looking for a career change or someone returning from a career break. You will report to the Head of Donations and Marketing, deputising for them as needed and will work closely with the rest of our small team.

- Strong technology skills and the ability to learn how to use new software quickly. Previous experience of using a variety of IT tools.
- Ability to make clear, evidence-based decisions to ensure a smooth IT donor journey where there are many competing variables to consider and often ambiguity in circumstances.

Most importantly you’re looking to join a great team and support us in creating life-changing opportunities for some of the world’s most deserving communities.

**A few nice to haves include**:

- Be an improver. We want you to grow with us and help develop our charity where you spot an opportunity for process improvement etc.

- This is a proactive sales/donations role with time spent both managing incoming IT donation enquiries whilst converting leads and occasionally cultivating new IT donation opportunities. Daily you will be using your excellent written English, listening skills and strong attention to detail to communicate with our donors. Templates are provided and judgement is required on how to use these to ensure all the donor’s questions are answered while selling the virtues of the charity to secure the donation.
- Account managing donors to ensure that donation targets are exceeded, whilst service standards are consistently achieved. Managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously including responding to leads within a short time frame and tracking many dozens of leads through to reporting on environmental and social impact. You will also be contacting IT kit donors that donated previously or showed an interest in donating.
- Balancing the needs/wishes of the donors with that of the goals of the charity, making appropriate judgement calls including calculating cost versus financial benefit.
- Using our Salesforce system, which we will train you on, as well as Google spreadsheets to manage accounts and activities for both IT donations and cash donations.
- Management of our IT collections budget, ensuring a balance between the growth of new high quality IT donations and the costs associated with receiving this equipment.
- Liaising with accounts regarding invoicing donors and providing donors with quotes.
