If you are a compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant looking for an opportunity to contribute significantly to the social welfare of incapacitated patients, by helping them live full and independent lives? we have a proposition for you at our client's practice in Stockton on Tees.

You will be holding a temporary position that will last for 11 weeks starting mid-March till the end of May while working full-time in a community therapy team filled with professionals driven by the zeal to help patients live normal and unhindered lives.

**DUTIES**
- Cover unforeseen staff absence and prevent backlog build-up/increases in service delivery time scale.
- Recommend and explain the use of special equipment and assistive devices to patients and caregivers.
- Overview and monitor patients' rehabilitative progress and plans.
- Research and recommend tasks and activities based on the patient's physical and mental condition.
- Provide support for family members and caregivers, and engage them in patients' care plans.
- Conduct administrative tasks and maintain a secure health environment for patients.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must have a relevant qualification in occupational therapy assistance or a related field, in health and social care.
- Must have at least 2 years of previous work experience in health and social care.
- Have a permit to work in the UK.
- A good team player with the ability to follow procedures.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
