**What you’ll be doing**
Undertake the development, management and updating of major modelling activities to fulfil business requirements. Provide specialist advice and solutions to strategic network challenges around growth and development.
Building, utilising, and maintaining our water network models for use in network planning and in projects to both optimise the use of existing network assets, and to design and commission new capital schemes.
This role will involve:
- Hydraulic model building - collection and analysis of network and operational data. Assembly into network models.
- The management of flow and pressure surveys.
- Calibrating and verifying models.
- Carrying out studies using the models.
- Management of the migration of models to InfoWorks and IWLive.
- Delivering excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder engagement, including operations, strategic control, and asset management.
**We’re looking for you to**
- You’ll have demonstrable experience in the use of water network models, preferably with previous experience in the use of network modelling software EPANet, InfoWorks, or similar.
- You’ll be competent with Microsoft Office and GIS and have experience in supervising consultants and coaching team members.
- You’ll be a fast learner and have a solid understanding of hydraulic modelling principles including static and dynamic states, pressure management, diurnal demand profiles, and solution development for hydraulic problems.

This will involve undertaking detailed hydraulic modelling studies using InfoWater or other industry standard software.
