Finance Apprentice

The Accounts Payable (AP) Department within the Finance division at Morgan Stanley is responsible for a variety of functions associated with the Firm’s issuance of global payments to third parties and employees. AP issues payments for goods and servicesthat are rendered by the Firm and approved by an AP Authorised Signatory in compliance with regulatory requirements and the Firm Policy. Accounts Payable provides professional, excellent customer service to the Firm and vendor community while exhibiting acommitment to continuous process improvement and risk reduction.

A typical day
- Open invoices on Firm approved systems, review aged invoices for Europe, Middle East & Africa, working with our outsourcing teams to process or the business units for approval
- Regular meetings to review current status and resolve any vendor issues
- Work on ad-hoc projects within Accounts Payable
- Daily conference calls
- Monthly review of UK VAT
- Maintain strong relationships between wider team & Business
- Roles & responsibilities vary but you'll gain exposure to the following systems & functions listed below:

- Firm approved systems within Accounts Payable & Microsoft Office Applications
- Insight into Accounts Payable & Procurement Governance processes
- Invoicing & VAT requirements by country within Europe, Middle East & Africa
- Confirming vendor details for the onboarding process

You must have
- GCSE English & Maths 4-9 (C-A*) or equivalent
- Three A levels at grades A*-C (or 240 UCAS points or new tariff equivalent)
